Which animal would you compare yourself to and why? 

God giving birth to a human being is a good deed in the past – why compare it to animals? – It is wrong to have this idea.

Among the 84 lakh living beings, human birth is the best and rarest. Only man has the power of thought, discernment, and the opportunity to attain salvation by performing karma. Unlike other living beings, his main goal is to reach God through this birth and attain birth lessness. 
Importance of human birth:
Discernment: While animals have only instincts like food, sleep, fear, and sex, man has the knowledge to know good and evil.
Karma theory: If other births are only to experience the fruits of past karma, then in human birth one can do new good deeds and attain liberation (mukti) from the cycle of births.

Self-reflection: According to the Bhagavad Gita and the Puranas, it is everyone’s responsibility to make good use of this unique opportunity. 
Important points:
Knowledge acquisition: This body should not be used just for accumulating wealth, but for acquiring knowledge and achieving self-realization.
Durlabham: This human birth is obtained as a result of the merit of many births.
There is nothing beyond human birth, so it is important to make it meaningful.
