Welcome to BRICS leaders for the 2026 Summit. The 18th BRICS Summit is currently being held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, India, from September 12 to 13, 2026. Marking India's fourth time chairing the multilateral forum, the two-day summit operates under the official theme "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability" Key Highlights of the Summit major Attendees: High-level global leaders are present at the venue, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping (marking his first visit to India in seven years), Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres. Brazil is represented by its Foreign Minister, Mauro Vieira, due to domestic local elections. Core Agenda Items: Discussions heavily center on strengthening intra-BRICS economic cooperation, accelerating digital and DeepTech partnerships through the concurrent Bharat Innovates exhibition, advancing trade and investment frameworks, and navigating global energy market volatilities caused by ongoing international conflicts.
