Key features and significance The Arrow Incident: According to mythology, a hunter named Jara shot Krishna's foot with an arrow while mistaking it for a deer. This event marked the end of the Dvapara Yuga and the beginning of the Kali Yuga. The Temple: The temple complex includes a shrine with an idol of Lord Krishna resting, and often one of Jara standing before him. There is also a tulsi tree planted in honor of Lord Krishna. Location: It is situated on the road to Somnath, a few kilometers away from the Somnath Temple itself. Peepal Tree: A peepal tree is present at the site, symbolizing the tree under which the event is said to have taken place. Visitor information Timings: 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Entry Fee: Free. Best Time to Visit: October to March, for pleasant weather. Getting There: By Air: Diu Airport is approximately 85 km away, and Rajkot Airport is around 200 km away. By Train: Veraval Railway Station is about 5 km away. By Road: The site is well-connected by roads and buses from major cities in Gujarat.
